Study sport management at JCC
The Sport Management A.S. degree at Jamestown 社区 College prepares you to transfer to a bachelor’s program and pursue careers working with youth, 学术, intercollegiate or professional athletic organizations. Popular fields include sport management, sport facility management, campus and community 娱乐 programs, and fitness management. You can also study for careers in sport information focused on public relations, 市场营销, 促销活动, and media communication.
在JCC的时候, you’ll take core and elective courses to build your knowledge, 技能, 理论, and experiences to your specific interests in the sport industry. You can also complete an internship with a sports or athletics organization. Some of our students have interned with the local Jamestown Jammers baseball team and Jamestown Jackals basketball team, JCC’s athletic department and fitness center, Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame, and Northwest Arena in Jamestown.

Sport management 技能
After you complete the program, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate a basic understanding and appreciation for the role sport plays in our society and how that role is influenced by cultural traditions, 社会价值观, and psychosocial experiences.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of the concepts related to ethical leadership with regard to the various 技能, 角色, and functions of sport managers.
